
Popular Indo-Chinese recipe, seasame Chili Potatoes, owes it flavor to fiery red chilies. I like the deep fried restaurant version but I prefer the healthy home made method where the potatoes are boiled before being tossed in a sweet and hot sauce and sprinkled with toasted sesame seeds. Very flavorful and looks appealing in the serving plate.
Ingredients:
1) 5-6 potatoes, peeled and cut into fingers like for french fries
2) 2 crushed garlic cloves
3) 1 tsp green Chilli chopped
4) all purpose flour 100 gm
5) rice flour 100 gm
6) salt to taste

For sauce:
1) 1 tbsp tomato sauce
2) 1 tsp red chilli sauce
3) 2 tsps vinegar
4) 1 tbsp soy sauce
5) 4 crushed garlic cloves
6) 2 tbsp tomato hot sweet sauce
7) 1 tsp chopped spring onion greens
8) 1/2 tbsp oil

Method :-
1 ) Peel the Potatoes ,washed it and cut all the Potatoes in finger like french fries.
2) Now preheat the water in a vessel (pan) and add potato slices in a water with 1 tbsp of salt.
3) Cook Potatoe slices for 5 minutes and take out and allow to cool.
4) Now add 2 tbsp of all purpose flour to potato slices and mix well .
5) Now in another pot make a slurry like paste combining all purpose flour and rice flour adding water.
6) Deep and coat potato slices one by one in a paste and deep fry for 1 minute.
7) Take out fried potato slices in a plate.

3) Cook Potatoe slices for 5 minutes and take out and allow to cool.
4) Now add 2 tbsp of all purpose flour to potato slices and mix well .
5) Now in another pot make a slurry like paste combining all purpose flour and rice flour adding water.
6) Deep and coat potato slices one by one in a paste and deep fry for 1 minute.
7) Take out fried potato slices in a plate.
8 )Now heat a heavy bottomed vessel, add oil, add the crushed garlic and saute on high flame for few secs. Add the green Chilli,chopped onions , sliced capsicum and saute well for 2 minutes.
9) Add tomato sauce and vinegar,soy sauce and combine. Add the fried potatoes and toss for a mt on medium-high flame. Add the salt and toss the contents till well combined.Adjust salt if required.
10) Sprinkle toasted sesame seeds and turn off the heat and garnish with spring onions. Serve warm as a starter/appetizer.
